Abstract

Propagation is by seed chamber Sunflower saw , so it is necessary the use of high quality seeds . The objective of this study was to determine the physical , physiological and sanitary quality of seeds of different sunflower genotypes . Ten seeds sunflower genotypes were evaluated to determine their quality , through the following tests : moisture ; mass of thousand seeds ; biometrics seed ( length, width and thickness ) ; germination , first count ; germination speed index , tetrazolium test , and seed health test . The data collected were subjected to analysis of variance and Scott - Knott test at 5 % probability . The HLA genotypes CNZ CIRO and 11-26 have low germination percentage and vigor . Have Helio 358 , CF 101 and M 734 exhibited low vigor and viability by the tetrazolium test. Seed quality of HLA genotypes 11-26 and CNZ CIRO was influenced by fungi of the genus Alternaria and Aspergillus , respectively.
