Abstract

Soybean cultivation has been expanding in the southeastern state of Para, mainly in the city of Paragominas in areas of degraded pasture, where research on fertilization and liming for soybean are scarce and the recommendation of these practices adapted to other regions of the country. The objective of this experiment is to determine the effect of lime and phosphorus application on the dry matter production of soybean grown in soil of degraded pasture Paragominas. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences For FCAP, current UFRA, using a completely randomized design with treatments arranged in a 4 x 5, equivalent to four doses of lime factorial: 0; 1.5; 3:06 times the content of exchangeable Al and five doses of f6sforo: 0; 250; 500; 750 and 1000 mg.kg-1 soil, with four repetic5es. The results showed that P fertilization increased (P <0.01) the dry weight of shoot and total dry mass of soybean, and the internal ° liming with phosphorus increased (P <0.01) the production dry matter of the roots of the plant. The treatment which caused the largest soybean growth was the application of 605 mg P.kg-1 soil associated with liming dose six times the exchangeable aluminum in the soil.
