ÍNDICES DE INFECÇÃO POR Mammomonogamus laryngeus (Railliet, 1899) EM BÚFALOS DA ILHA DE MARAJÓ, ESTADO DO PARÁ — BRASIL
Abstract
Foram examinadas 254 amostras de laringe de búfalos oriundos de rebanhos de quatro municípios da Ilha de Marajó, Estado do Pará, colhidas em abatedouro, sendo 160 de animais machos e 94 de fêmeas. Os dados foram analisados estatisticamente pelos testes z, t, de probabilidade e do coeficiente de prevalência, considerando a procedência, o sexo do hospedeiro e a faixa de idade. Um total de 133 (52,4%) estavam parasitadas por nematódeos da espécie M. laryngeus, sendo 91 (56,9%) oriundas de animais machos e 42 (44,7%) de animais fêmeas. A intensidade media de parasitismo para búfalos na Ilha de Marajó é de 14 casais.
