NUTRITIONAL STATUS AND PRODUCTION OF CORN GROWN IN DIFFERENT TIMES UNDER COVER AND TWO DEAD FERTILIZATIONS
Abstract
To evaluate the effects of the use of mulch on the mineral nutrition and yield of maize was conducted work in the municipality of Igarapé-Acu, Para, in experimental design of randomized blocks with split plots, which were tested in plots four planting dates and subplots, two fertilizations. The assessment of nutritional stage of maize (Zea mays L.) was made in plants at harvest. Higher concentrations of N and P were observed in corn and grain Ca, Mg, Fe and Mn were in the dry matter of plants. The K and Fe were also observed in the male inflorescence stem +. On the cob (female inflorescence) the highest concentrations of Zn were observed. Nutrient concentrations were significantly affected by planting dates, without this fact did not prevent the observation of concentrations considered adequate in straw and grain corn, for most nutrients. The highest level of P increased significantly only the concentrations of Fe. There was no interaction between planting dates and fertilizer. Grain production has increased by 39% with the highest level of P.
