Fertility evaluation of a medium yellow latosol texture for growing açaizeiro in Pará
Abstract
With the aim of evaluating the nutritional limitations for cultivation of açai (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) In Oxisol, medium texture, state of Pará, was conducted in a greenhouse experiment, based on the technique of diagnosis by subtraction. The experimental design was completely randomized with four replications and the treatments were complete, addition of NPK and the omission of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S and B. The results showed that the most limiting macronutrient for growth açaizeiro in Oxisoil medium texture, were phosphorus, nitrogen, potassium and magnesium. The application of NPK only limited production of plant dry matter, showing the need of the application of other nutrients (Ca, Mg, S and micronutrients) and lime to promote satisfactory growth açaizeiro. The macronutrient omissions resulted in morphological changes, translated as characteristic symptoms of nutritional deficiency of each nutrient. The macronutrient and boron in the leaves, stem and roots change with individual omissions of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur and boron.Downloads
