Abstract

The objective of this paper was to evaluate the control of soybean rust using the protective fungicide Mancozeb associated with curative fungicides. The trial was conducted in the field, using a randomized block design, with five replications. The evaluated treatments were: association of protective fungicide (Mancozeb 1,500 g a.i. ha-1) with curative fungicides (Picoxystrobin 66 g a.i. ha-1 + Cyproconazole 26 g a.i. ha-1 and Azoxystrobin 100 g a.i, ha-1 + Benzovindiflupyr 50 g a.i. ha-1), protective fungicide without association, curative fungicides without association and a control treatment, without control. The disease incidence, control and phytotoxicity of the fungicides, that were applied at the R1, R3 and R5 stages of the crop, were evaluated. Grain yield and yield reduction resulting from disease attack were evaluated. Mancozeb alone, applied 3x, provided efficiency similar to its use and in association with other fungicides. The association of Mancozeb with mesostemic and curative fungicides provided an increase in disease control. Mancozeb, as the only form of disease control, applied once during the cycle, did not promote sufficient disease control, which resulted in a 35.80% drop in productivity.
